NEWS
We are dying. You can tell that. "These words of a spokesman for the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF) describe the situation in which it is the sector that will end 2012 with about 5,000 jobs, half from last year, and 12 times less than which had in 2008, the peak and was installed in most of the photovoltaic power that placed the country as a third world power. almost 600 companies engaged in the business has gone just over 300, he says. And also suffering total paralysis the wind sector.
The moratorium on new facilities eligible for premium imposed in January by the Government and the 6% tax on electricity production has only to deepen the crisis that erupted with regulatory changes and uncertainties that reduced premiums production retroactively.
WIND ENERGY
Wind power, as an alternative to fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation and uses little land. The effects on the environment are generally less problematic than those from other power sources. The monetary cost per unit of energy produced is similar to the cost for new coal and natural gas installations.
Wind power is very consistent from year to year but has significant variation over shorter time scales. The intermittency of wind seldom creates problems when used to supply up to 20% of total electricity demand, but as the proportion increases, a need to upgrade the grid, and a lowered ability to supplant conventional production can occur. Power management techniques such as having excess capacity storage, geographically distributed turbines, dispatchable backing sources, storage such as pumped-storage hydroelectricity, exporting and importing power to neighboring areas or reducing demand when wind production is low, can greatly mitigate these problems.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENEWABLE ENERGIES AND NON-RENEWABLE
The main difference between the two energies is that renewable energy is considerably cleaner than non-renewable, since the latter produces gases that pollute the atmosphere and are harmful to the health of all living things. Although there are people who believe that renewable energy is more viable because it produces energy continuously and nonrenewable generates no energy at all times.

TASK 10
Here it goes
1. Solar energy
2. Wind energy
3. Hydro energy
4. Geo-thermal energy
5. Tidal energy
6. Wave energy
7. Biomass energy
And much more!
SOLAR ENEREGY: used in cooking, lighting, heating etc. Photovoltaic produces electricity from sunlight.
WIND ENERGY: a 8 m/s breeze blowing through a 100 meter diameter rotor would move almost 77000 kilograms of air per second producing 2.5 mw of energy.
WATER ENERGY: highest used renewable source, very high potential. Hydroelectric power sources dams. Our country is full of rivers, all needed is to use them properly.
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY: it is strictly not a renewable source as it can get depleted over time at a location. Currently producing more than 100 GW commercially in over 70 countries.
TIDAL ENERGY: it is the power achieved by capturing energy contained in moving mass dues to tides. It is inexhaustible within human timeframe.
WAVE ENERGY: it is energy of ocean surface waves and capturing it to get useful work.
BIOMASS ENERGY: biomass includes biodegradable waste that can be burnt as fuel.
